gorgeous as always | pregnancy photography perth

This lovely lady has featured on my site many times and I can’t wait to meet her gorgeous new arrival in a few weeks.   Her newborn baby will be as gorgeous as her I’m sure and I can’t wait to create her album of love letters once we’ve photographed baby.   For something different we ventured outdoors to photograph her in her beautiful new dress and of course with her hubby.  I’m so in love with these beautiful images and I hope they inspire anyone thinking of having portraits done of your pregnancy.

family at home | perth family photography

Since I decided to specialise in pregnancy, newborn and baby photography I have missed working with families, so I had a think about how I would like to re-enter the arena.  Due to an ongoing knee injury I’m not really able to run around the park chasing toddlers and don’t get me started on walking in sand and if I’m perfectly honest I hate working outdoors in summer.  OK, I can hear the tiny violins now:)   So after careful thought and planning I’m soon to launch a new website which caters to photographing your family in your home.

What does that mean?  Basically I come to your house and photograph your family in their own familiar surroundings, in their bedrooms, playing with their toys, reading their favourite books, jumping on mum and dad’s bed and we can think of lots more things to do – cooking, taking a bubble bath (for the littlies:)), dancing around the loungeroom and even trimming the Christmas tree when the time comes.

Our aim during my visit is to tell a story of your family with the aim of creating a beautiful storybook album.

I recently did this session for a past client, who is now a friend and new fellow photographer.   Check out their special album here www.fionacolvin.com/NinkasAlbum.

Here’s a couple of sample images.  Please contact me for further details if you’d love to have your family photographed in this way.  It’s fun and a great way to capture who you all are, right now.

beautiful | perth maternity photography

Sometimes you meet people that are so completely beautiful in all ways and manage to inspire you with their love.  I was lucky to work with Sheree and Mitch and I could have photographed her all day.  I’ll let the images speak for themselves and I can’t wait to meet their new little one in a few weeks.

I have photographed Bec quite a few times now and she is currently modelling for a project I hope to introduce later in the year.  The concept involves an album of love letters she is writing to her baby at the three stages we are photographing her pregnancy and a final one when he arrives.  It’s something that I’ve thought about doing for years and I think it’s a beautiful gift to give to your child.  If you’re interested in doing something similar before the end of the year, please feel free to chat with me to see what we can work out.

Bec is an absolute dream to photograph, along with being a beautiful lady inside and out and she is going to be an amazing mummy.

How completely gorgeous is this?  One of my all time favourite maternity images.

I pride myelf on creating timeless images and one way I achieve that is to not use a lot of props.  We keep it simple and classic with a few twists throughout the session, maybe a hat or headband or a colourful backdrop.  The key is not to use it just because you need more images, but to enhance an already great session.  I have quite a few nappy covers, headbands, hats and rugs I use, but I always welcome parents bringing along something they love and that suits their style.  It lets you have a hand in the styling of your session too and it doesn’t need to cost too much.

Here’s the gorgeous Sophie.
